Nature Interpretive Centre
Our nature interpretive centre is a reflection of a 20 year collection of natural objects found at Gordon's Park and on Manitoulin Island. We have wildlife displays of a variety of species, including bears, wolves, owls, fish, owls, small animals, porcupines, fox, minks and plenty more. We also have skeletal remains from animals to learn more about bones and anatomy. All of our animals died of natural causes. Our fossil wall showcases amazing fossils collected from the fossil reef around the property, as well as minerals, and oddities and objects in nature. Our astronomy wall holds information on planets, the northern lights, constellations, and tools to use to navigate the night sky. We also love showing off some of the amazing astrophotography that has been taken in our dark sky preserve at the park. The nature interpretive centre perfectly complements the hiking trails that wind through the property.
